The Cleaning Supervisor will oversee cleaning operations to ensure client expectations are
consistently met and exceeded. This role involves supervising cleaning operatives,
maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and ensuring all tasks are carried out efficiently
and safely.
- Key Responsibilities
- Supervision and Management: Lead and supervise a team of cleaning operatives, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Scheduling: Organize and manage staff rotas and work schedules to meet operational requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of cleaning tasks and ensure all areas meet company and client standards.
- Training and Development: Train new and existing staff on cleaning procedures, equipment use, and health & safety practices.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all staff adhere to health and safety guidelines, including COSHH regulations.
- Stock Control: Monitor and manage cleaning supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure sufficient stock levels.
- Communication: Act as the main point of contact for client queries or concerns, addressing them promptly and professionally.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of attendance, cleaning schedules, inspections, and incidents, reporting to the site or area manager as required.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve any operational issues, such as staff shortages or equipment failures, in a timely manner.
- Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Previous experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or senior cleaning operative is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Attention to Detail: High standards of cleanliness and the ability to identify areas for improvement.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning equipment, products, and procedures.
- Health & Safety: Understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing requirements or working hours as needed.
