Opening Doors Through Inclusive Employment
How JPC by Samsic is creating life-changing pathways into work across British Land’s London campuses.
THE CHALLENGE. WHY IT MATTERS
Breaking Barriers To Employment
Many adults and young people with learning disabilities face significant barriers to securing meaningful, paid work. Limited experience, a lack of accessible opportunities and inconsistent employer awareness create a cycle that is difficult to break. JPC by Samsic set out to lead with action, creating accessible, supportive and empowering pathways into employment across British Land campuses.

PARTNERSHIP. PIP
Pursuing Independent Paths
Our collaboration with Pursuing Independent Paths spans more than two years across British Land campuses. Most recently, a PIP student completed a successful placement at Regent’s Place, integrating seamlessly into the team and demonstrating strong commitment. Her performance led to a planned three-month paid return placement. JPC’s commitment to paying all PIP students the London Living Wage ensures every participant receives a fully supported and empowering onboarding experience.
“JPC onboarded our student quickly and professionally. They even paired her with a buddy to help her learn the ropes.”
Graeme Mills, Employment Co-Ordinator, PIP

PARTNERSHIP. DFN PROJECT SEARCH
From Internship To Permanent Role
DFN Project SEARCH provides supported internships for young people with learning disabilities and autism spectrum condition, helping them transition confidently into employment. JPC by Samsic has hired two interns into permanent positions. The first joined Broadgate in early 2024 and continues to excel. The second started at Regent’s Place in January and completed training quickly.
“Project SEARCH Tower Hamlets proudly places JPC by Samsic at the top of its list of employers who are truly making strides.”

GOING FURTHER. IMPACT
Stronger Teams, Stronger Communities
These partnerships have strengthened JPC’s inclusive culture, brought fresh perspectives and energy into teams, and created life-changing pathways into employment. Manager confidence has improved through specialist training, and the organisational benefits of disability inclusion are visible across every site. Inclusion at JPC is not a policy statement. It is a practice woven into everyday interactions, decisions and opportunities.
